IVC Diaphragm Valves
|
OVERVIEW :
Diaphragm valve is an isolation valve. The sealing element is a resilient diaphragm, sitting on the valve body. The body may be either metallic, plastic or lined, thus enabling users to design what is best suited for the application.
The resilient diaphragm provides a seal between body and the bonnet. Diaphragm valves may be manually operated by handwheel or automated by pneumatic or electric actuators. The two configurations of Diaphragm valves – weir and straight through type when combined with their key features, enable the valve to be used in diverse industries providing solutions to problems of :
- Corrosion
- Abrasion
- Logging
- Contamination
- Modulation & Control
|
 |
Key Features : |
|
- In – line maintenance – diaphragm and operator can be replaced without dis-assembling the body from the pipeline. Regular diaphragm inspection, replacement when necessary, will increase valve life.
- Bonnet isolation – all bonnet components are isolated from the service fluid by means of the diaphragm.
- No packings / gaskets are required, thus eliminating a common leak path found in other design valves.
- Resilient diaphragms ensure positive leak tight closure.
- Design flexibility – wide range of diaphragms, linings and operators offering scope to maximize valve life.
- Over closure protection – lowers cost of owning our diaphragm valves by reducing the possibility of over closure, which decreases diaphragm and valve body life.
- “W” Diaphragm valves are especially suitable for vacuum services (with vacuum – type diaphragms)
- The valves are self - draining and self – cleaning when installed at a certain angle on the horizontal plane.

HANDWHEEL
All handwheels are designed for functional use and comfortable
handling |
 |
OVER-CLOSURE PROTECTION
Patented bonnet design provides over-closure protection for diaphragm in closed positon. these two metal surface will seat and prevent over-compression of diaphragm. |
INDICATOR
Bonnet is painted bright yellow under handle skirt to provide clear indication of valve position from any angle |
COMPRESSOR
Conforms to contours of diaphragm for support during opening and closure |
|
DIAPHRAGM
Flexible member provides positive closure and isolates bonnet components from fluid stream |
BODY
The interoir's smooth contours provide unrestricted flow and minimum pressur loss |
