Essentially a double flanged butterfly type of long body with a high degree of eccentricity between the trunnion and the valve center line, a generously proportioned inclined metal seat in body and an accurately profiled metal face / elastomer seal in disc, ensure leak tight closure. A counter weight & lever and /or a dampening arrangement may be required (optional) depending upon the duty.
