DUAL PLATE CHECK VALVE (80 – 2000 NB)
Dual Plate Check Valve is lighter in weight and smaller in size compared to a conventional swing check valve. The Dual Plate Check Valve employs two spring-loaded plates hinged on a central hinge pin. With decreasing flow, the plates close by spring action.
Proper alignment while installing is vital; mis-alignment can leave the plates hanging only to be slam shut by the reverse flow thus adding to the surge. Torsional Springs losing strength over a period of time is a disadvantage one has to live with.
